Through the use of long range (100 feet) solar powered readers, the animal's identification number (cost effective RFID tags) can be associated with a particular activity or location. Proximity sensors are able to provide a location within a few feet, thereby providing information when the animal is at the water trough or when they are feeding. Wireless communication then sends the data back through the internet or directly to a PC. No cumbersome wiring is needed, making it suitable for the difficult and challenging environments that are often associated with livestock operations. Additionally, the r.Tag™ Dynamic has the capacity to read multiple animals at the same time, providing real time data for all the animals that are in range. It even is capable of individually identifying an entire truckload of animals from as far away as 100 feet, in 5 seconds or less, allowing for easy tracking of the transport of animals in and out of a location. The r.Tag™ Dynamic is ideal for Auction Markets, Feedlots, calf ranches or anyone who has a need to track a large herd of animals. The system can be readily incorporated into any current software or Database Management System, providing efficiencies through the monitoring and tracking of animals throughout the operation. With long read range, speed of read and accuracy this system is the first of its kind to move at the speed of commerce.
